FAQ – GS Africa Process to Rent

GS Africa Process to Rent

The bike rental & tour process explained

  • Step 1

    Enquiry

Your adventure begins when you reach out — by email, phone, or through our website. Share your bike model choice, travel dates, guided or selfguided preference (or rental only), and the number of riders. The more detail you give, the better we can tailor your dream ride.

  • Step 2

    Tailored Estimation

Based on your enquiry, we’ll send a personalized estimation through our online platform. It will highlight the key details of your trip:

    • Guided Tour – Travel dates, destinations, bike model, guide services, accommodation, and extras.
    • SelfGuided Tour – Bike model, travel dates, accommodation, route planning, and extras.
    • BikeOnly Rental – Bike model, travel dates, and any extras requested.

This step ensures you a clear picture of your adventure before confirming your booking.

  • Step 3

    Invoice, Payment & Documentation

When you’re ready to confirm, make payment securely via our 3Dsecure online link or by bank transfer. Once received, we’ll share our T&C’s and request a copy of your driver’s license and ID/passport to finalize your booking.

  • Step 4

Insurance & Motorcycle Collection/Start of the Tour

Two days before your rental, the Insurance Excess Deposit is requested:

    • Preauthorisation for rentals of 1–6 days
    • Sale transaction for rentals of 7+ days
    • Manual transactions require a card swipe

On collection day, your motorcycle will be ready at the agreed time and address. For tours, a shuttle will meet you at the airport to start your trip. After a quick inspection of the bike — the adventure begins!

  • Step 5

    Return of Motorcycle & Deposit

At the end of your tour or rental, the motorcycle is returned or collected at the agreed time and place. It’s then washed and given a quick inspection (usually the next working day).

    • If any damage is found, costs are deducted from the deposit and the balance refunded.
    • If no damage is found, your full deposit is refunded — this typically reflects back on your credit card within 7–10 working days.

And with that, this adventure is complete — until the next one!
